The Blog Backstory: Nuanaarpuq, an Inuit word which means ‘take extravagant pleasure in the joy of living’, has shaped the course of Dottie’s life since she first heard the word as a teenager. Like Henry David Thoreau’s
live deep and suck out all the marrow of life and Helen Keller’s
life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all, nuanaarpuq has served as a clarion call to embrace this one precious pass at life. Live intentionally. Act with conscience. Enjoy your existence. Nuanaarpuq celebrates the spirit of an adventurous, inquisitive life.
